Congratulations to Mr. Trevor Durham, our Disciple of the Week for the week of December 7!  In his nomination, Mr. Daniel Litteken stated, “Trevor accepted his teaching position about one week before the school year started and has never looked back!  He stays well past the end of the day, usually into the night, to make sure that he will be ready to teach and challenge his students to always improve and grow. I have personally seen Trevor go the extra mile to seek out and assist students who need additional support in either his class or someone else’s. While also coaching three sports (football, boys basketball, boys and girls track and field), he continues to put his students’ and players’ needs above all. Trevor is such an asset to Mater Dei Catholic High School, and we are so very lucky to have him!”  In addition to coaching, Mr. Durham teaches Physical Science A, Physical Science, Physical Honors, and Physics Honors.

Congratulations to Mr. Steve Richter, our Disciple of the Week for the week of December 14!  In his nomination, Mr. Trevor Durham stated, “It is a great privilege to nominate Steve Richter!  Steve’s dedication to Mater Dei and our students has played a crucial role in keeping our doors open for in-person learning and in keeping all of us safe during these unusual times. On a daily basis, he can be seen working meticulously to ensure Mater Dei is disinfected and ready to function at full capacity. Whether you need a favor or a simple “Hi” when he passes you in the hallway, Steve is a joy to work with and embodies Mater Dei’s mission to the fullest. His dedication to Mater Dei and our students does not go unnoticed. Thank you, Steve, for all you do and for your commitment to Mater Dei. Congratulations!”  Steve Richter serves the Mater Dei family as a custodian.
