MOTHERS & FRIENDS
Created in 1958, Mothers & Friends provides financial support to supplement and to enhance the educational and spiritual programs of Mater Dei. The annual dinner auction, which is held in the spring, is their largest fundraiser, having raised over $1,000,000 for the benefit of our students! In addition, Mothers & Friends hosts the Catholic Schools Week luncheon for the administration, faculty, and staff, as well as the late-night prom festivities, which provide our students a safe environment filled with food, fun, and prizes. Finally, Mothers & Friends sponsors communication platforms, including our online academic system (for which all parents and students have an account), our school messaging system, and the online lunch account monitoring system.
FATHERS & FRIENDS
Created in 1958, Fathers & Friends provides financial support to supplement and to enhance the facilities and athletic programs of Mater Dei. Often times, the members also provide the manual labor required to complete projects. In addition to sponsoring 50/50 drawings at athletic events, Fathers & Friends sponsors a monthly cash raffle (see information below), hosts a breakfast on Palm Sunday, and assists with the Mega Raffle and the Mater Dei Golf Classic. In recent years, as a result of these fundraising activities, Fathers & Friends has funded new balcony bleachers and window coverings for the main gym, renovations to the restrooms at the multi-purpose stadium, and maintenance of and improvements to all the athletic facilities on campus.

Band Parents provides both financial support and volunteers for programs and activities that enhance the experiences of our musicians. Their main fundraisers are hosting a Knight at the Races event, which is traditionally held in January, and selling concessions at all home football games. Additional small fundraisers, which vary each year, are held throughout the year. As a result of their fundraising efforts, Band Parents has provided funds for uniforms, instruments, instrument repairs, flags, music, and additional staff; and offset the cost of major activities, including trips.
