Events for Prospective Families

Our Mater Dei community is excited to share the unique opportunities we offer our students and their families!  Therefore, we invite prospective families to attend the events listed below.

For families of current 8th-grade students, please print our “Journey to Joining the Class of 2028,” which lists dates for and descriptions of all steps included in the enrollment process.

Families who are unable to attend an event are invited to contact Mrs. Maria Zurliene, Assistant Principal, to receive information or to schedule an appointment (618-526-7216, ext 105 or mzurliene@materdeiknights.org).

NOTE: The scholarship application (for scholarships awarded by Mater Dei) is due May 3.  The memorial grant application is due June 10; however, families who register after June 10 may still apply for a memorial grant.

FRESHMAN WELCOME:  traditionally in late May (date tba)
The Freshman Welcome provides an opportunity for registered incoming freshmen to celebrate joining the Mater Dei family and to meet their future classmates.  Welcoming in nature, the event includes activation of student email accounts, participation in social activities, and distribution of Mater Dei spirit items, including a shirt.  Following the event, families receive information related to preparing for the new school year, including a supply list, a list of Parent Ambassadors (to contact for information), and a list of the opening days of the new school year.
