The Mater Dei community is pleased to announce the Students of the Quarter for the first quarter of the 2025-2026 academic year.  These students were selected by the administration and faculty from the list of students who earned high honor roll or honor roll recognition.  Please join us in congratulating them and their families!

 

Senior Chase Voss, son of Chad and Tara Voss of Carlyle.  Throughout his academic career, Chase has enrolled in multiple honors courses, including English Composition 101 and English Composition 102 as a senior.  For his academic achievements, he has earned honor roll recognition for twelve quarters.  Outside the classroom, Chase is a four-year member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Pep Club, a three-year member of National Honor Society, and a two-year member of Marketing Club.  Finally, Chase is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.  Following graduation, Chase plans to pursue a degree in business from Kaskaskia College, as well as an auctioneer license.

 

Senior Addison Ringwald, daughter of Rick and Mandy Ringwald of Highland.  Throughout her academic career, Addison has enrolled in nearly all honors courses for English, math, and science, including English Composition 101 and English Composition 102 as a senior.  For her academic achievements, she has earned honor roll recognition for thirteen quarters, an academic letter her junior and sophomore year, and awards for Algebra II & Trigonometry Honors, Geometry, and Theology I.  Outside the classroom, Addison is a four-year member of the basketball team, the golf team, Pep Club, and Student Ambassadors; and a three-year member of National Honor Society and Student Council (current vice president).  For three years, she has been selected to the Metro-East Golf Coaches Association All-Area Team (Class 1A Second Team).  She also earned soccer’s Most Improved Award (freshman) and Offensive Player of the Year Award (junior), as well as basketball’s Three-Point Percentage Award (junior).  Finally, Addison is a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where she serves as Kirchenfest volunteer.  Following graduation, she plans to pursue a degree in nursing but has not yet selected an educational institution.

 

Junior William Kampwerth, son of Brad and Tammy Kampwerth of Aviston.  Since his freshman year, Will has enrolled in all honors courses for English, math, and science.  As a junior, his courses include Algebra II Honors, Chemistry Honors, and English III Honors.  For his academic achievements, he has earned honor roll recognition for nine quarters, an academic letter his sophomore year, and an award for Spanish II.  Outside the classroom, Will is a three-year member of the golf team and a two-year member of National Honor Society.  For three years, he has been selected to the Metro-East Golf Coaches Association All-Area Team: First Team – 2025 Class 2A and 2024 Class 1A, Second Team – 2023 Class 1A.  Finally, Will is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

 

Junior Avery Patton, daughter of Brian and Dana Patton of Bartelso.  Since her freshman year, Avery has enrolled in all honors courses for English, math, and science.  As a junior, her courses include Algebra II Honors, Chemistry Honors, and English III Honors.  For her academic achievements, she has earned honor roll recognition for nine quarters, an academic letter her sophomore year, and awards for English I Honors, English II Honors, and Physical Science Honors.  Outside the classroom, Avery is a three-year member of the volleyball team and the basketball team and a two-year member of National Honor Society.  Finally, Avery is a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, where she serves as a Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM) member.

 

Sophomore Kellan Hubert, son of Brian and Tricia Hubert of Albers.  In both his freshman and sophomore year, Kellan enrolled in honors courses for English, math, and science.  This year, his courses include Algebra II & Trigonometry Honors, Biology Honors, English II Honors, and Geometry Honors.  For his academic achievements, he has earned honor roll recognition for five quarters.  Outside the classroom, Kellan is a two-year member of Pep Club and the soccer team.  In his community, he volunteers at the Jaycee Park concession stand.  Finally, Kellan is a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, where he serves as an altar server.

 

Sophomore Emerson Rakers, daughter of Aaron and Dawn Rakers of Aviston.  In both her freshman and sophomore year, Emerson enrolled in honors courses for English and math.  This year, her courses include Biology Honors, English II Honors, and Geometry Honors.  For her academic achievements, she has earned honor roll recognition for five quarters and awards for Algebra I Honors, English I Honors, Health, and Physical Science.  Outside the classroom, Emerson is a two-year member of Student Ambassadors, Student Council, and the volleyball team; and a first-year member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and Pep Club.  She has also served as a class officer for two years (current president).  Finally, Emerson is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

 

Freshman Knox Musenbrock, son of Dean and Amber Musenbrock of Germantown.  In his first year at Mater Dei, Knox’s courses include Algebra I Honors and English I Honors.  Outside the classroom, he is a member of the golf team, Pep Club, and Teens for Life.  Finally, Knox is a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, where he serves as an altar server.

 

Freshman Kaitlyn Kienlen, daughter of Stuart and Kelly Kienlen of Breese.  In her first year at Mater Dei, Kaitlyn’s courses include English I Honors, Geometry Honors, and Physical Science Honors.  Outside the classroom, she is a member of chorus, concert band, the fall play cast, jazz band, Liturgical Music Group, marching band, pep band, Scholar Bowl, Sisters in Christ, and Teens for Life.  Additionally, she was selected to the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) District 6 Senior Chorus.  In her community, Kailtyn participates in Clinton County Showcase productions.  Finally, Kaitlyn is a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, where she serves as a cantor and choir member.
