In numerous families, the Mater Dei tradition extends through multiple generations of a family. This year, however, two freshman are unique, for they are not only third-generation knights, but also third-generation knights attending Mater Dei while their grandpas are members of the faculty or staff!
Freshman Braden Trame, a third-generation Mater Dei Knight, is pictured with his grandfather Mr. Dennis Trame, a member of the staff and Class of 1962. Braden’s father, Chris, is a member of the Mater Dei Class of 1991. (Mr. Trame’s granddaughter Madelyn is a member of the Class of 2020.)
Freshman Brennan Cook, a third-generation Mater Dei Knight, is pictured with his grandfather Mr. Dave Kohnen, a member of the faculty and Class of 1971. Brennan’s mother, Stephanie, is a member of the Mater Dei Class of 1998.
