The administration and faculty are pleased to announce the Students of Quarter for the first quarter.  Please join us in congratulating these students and their families!

Senior Nick Toennies, the son of Wayne and Angie Toennies of Bartelso.  Throughout his academic career, Nick has enrolled in a variety of honors courses, including English Composition 101 and 102 as a senior.  Currently, he also serves as a catechist for St. Cecilia Catholic Church’s Youth Faith Formation program.  Outside the classroom, Nick is a four-year member of the Scholar Bowl team and a three-year member of National Honor Society.  Finally, he is a eucharistic minister and server at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.  Following graduation, Nick plans to earn a degree in accounting.

Senior Grace Fuehne, the daughter of Steve and Gwen Fuehne of Damiansville.  Throughout her academic career, Grace has enrolled in all the honors English, foreign language, mathematics, and science courses, including Calculus, English Composition 101 and 102, and Physics Honors as a senior; and she has earned awards for her achievement in Algebra I Honors, Physical Science Honors, Biology Honors, Geometry Honors, Physical Education II, Algebra II & Trigonometry, Chemistry Honors, Spanish III, and Theology III.  Currently, she also serves as a catechist for St. Bernard Catholic Church’s Youth Faith Formation program.      Outside the classroom, Grace is a four-year member of the girls cross country team, the girls soccer team, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA); a three-year member of National Honor Society; and a first-year member of Science Club (current treasurer), Spanish Club, and Student Ambassadors.  She also volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospital Women and Infant Center in Breese.  Finally, Grace is a member of Youth Ministry and a eucharistic minister at St. Damian Catholic Church.  Following graduation, Grace plans to earn a Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD), as she aspires to become a pharmacist.

Junior Nic Seelhoefer, the son of Kurt and Shelly Seelhoefer of Bartelso.  Since his freshman year, Nic has enrolled in college-preparatory courses.  Outside the classroom, he is a three-year member of the football team and Pep Club.  In his community, Nic volunteers at blood drives, Knights of Columbus events, and Catholic Holy Family Society events.  Finally, he is a member of Youth Ministry at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Junior Reagan Abert, the daughter of Karl and Amy Abert of Breese.  Since her freshman year, Reagan has enrolled in the honors mathematics courses.  Currently, her courses include Algebra II & Trigonometry.  Outside the classroom, Reagan is a three-year member of the cheerleading squad and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA); a two-year member of National Honor Society; and a first-year member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and Student Ambassadors.  She also serves as class vice president.  Finally, Reagan is a member of Breese Youth Ministry, Luke 18 confirmation retreat teams, and St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Sophomore Bennet Krebs, the son of Brent and Amy Krebs of Breese.  Since his freshman year, Bennet has enrolled in the honors English, mathematics, and science courses.  Currently, his courses include Algebra II & Trigonometry, Biology Honors, English II Honors, and Geometry Honors.  Outside the classroom, Bennet is a two-year member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and the football team.  He is also a member of Breese Columbian Squires Circle #3115.  Finally, Bennet is a member of Breese Youth Ministry, Luke 18 confirmation retreat teams, and St. Dominic Catholic Church.

Sophomore Gabrielle Millikin, the daughter of Bill and Ann Millikin of Lebanon.  Since her freshman year, Gabrielle has enrolled in the honors English, mathematics, and science courses.  Currently, her courses include Biology Honors, English II Honors, and Geometry Honors.  Outside the classroom, Gabrielle is a two-year member of chorus, color guard (current section leader), and concert band; and a first-year member of Liturgical Music Group.  She was also a cast member of the musical this past spring.  Finally, Gabrielle is a cantor, lector, liturgical dancer, and Vacation Bible School volunteer at St. Clare Catholic Church.

Freshman Ian Berndsen, the son of Mark and Kathy Berndsen of Breese.  Currently, Ian’s courses include Geometry and Spanish II, both sophomore level courses.  Outside the classroom, he is a member of the golf team.  He plans to join the baseball team in the spring.  Finally, Ian is a member of Breese Youth Ministry and a server at St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Freshman Ellen Antonacci, the daughter of Tony and Deb Antonacci of Breese.  Currently, Ellen’s courses include Algebra I Honors and Spanish II, a sophomore level course.  Outside the classroom, she serves as class president and is a member of concert band, marching band, winter drum line, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and the girls basketball team.  She plans to join the girls soccer team in the spring.  Finally, Ellen is a member of Breese Youth Ministry, a Vacation Bible School volunteer, and a server at St. Dominic Catholic Church.
