Congratulations to Ms. Colleen McDermott, our Disciple of the Week for the week of October 30! In his nomination, Mr. Travis Gebke stated, “It takes courage to follow in the footsteps of a legend. Yet, Ms. Colleen McDermott, Mater Dei Catholic High School’s new campus minister, has accepted this challenge with grace and zeal! Hers is the voice that leads us in our school-wide morning prayer and the heart that guides us through the joys and struggles of each new day. She plans activities that encourage our students to grow in their Catholic faith and organizes student-led meditations during morning chapel. Ms. McDermott brings God’s love, wisdom and mercy into every situation and reminds us that when we humbly seek the Lord in prayer, He always hears us. She is a blessing to all of us at Mater Dei Catholic High School.”
